제목 | Effects of the inter-tube junctions of conjugated polymer/carbon nanotube composites on thermoelectric properties |
초록 | Conjugated polymer/carbon nanotube composites are spotlighted as a fascinating electronic material. Especially, the possibility of exploiting both high Seebeck coefficient of conjugated polymer and high electrical conductivity of carbon nanotube enables them to be a potential candidate of thermoelectric materials which convert heat into electricity. Despite these versatile properties, heterogeneous characteristics of the composites hinder quantitative analysis and restrict to derive structure-performance relationship, retarding their development. Here, we investigate the effect of the structure of conjugated polymers on the thermoelectric properties at inter-tube junctions using both experimental approaches and molecular dynamics simulation. Our study reveals the key structural factors influencing electrical and thermal conduction at inter-tube junctions of conjugated polymer/carbon nanotube composites, paving a way for achieving breakthrough in their thermoelectric performance. |
