제목 pH-responsive Polymer Dots based Coated Surfaces for Microorganism Detection via Optical and Electrochemical Sensing
초록 An optical and electrochemical sensor developed from a substrate coated with pH-responsive polymer dots (PD) becomes a notable approach owing to its quick and simple method to estimate the change of signal during detection. The coated surfaces exhibited excellent selectivity and sensitivity over a range of pH due to the zwitterionic structure of the PD, leading to different phenomena when attaching to the microorganisms. The system exhibited a fluorescence ON/OFF system caused by intermolecular interaction between negatively charged surfaces of bacteria to the zwitterionic surface of the sensor. Simultaneously, the electrochemical signal could be analyst by measuring the current flow between the PD-coated screen-printed carbon electrode surface showing a change in reduction-oxidation signals, implying the attachment of microorganism to the sensor surfaces.
