제목 Research on stabilization/solidification method of oxidized mercury
초록 Stabilization and solidification method of elemental mercury using sulfur and paraffin was developed in this study. Results showed that the developed method has excellent performance and is cost-effective, compared to the existing technology, such as sulfur polymer stabilization/solidification (SPSS) and etc. In this study, mercury containing wastes were treated with the new method and the performance was evaluated. The experiment used various additives for the stabilization process, and its efficiency was compared and confirmed by the mass balance. The performance of the developed method was verified by toxicity characteristic leaching procedure (US EPA method 1311).
