제목 Dendritic Poly(ethylene glycol)s by Anionic Ring Opening Polymerization
초록 Anti-fouling materials are important to prevent the absorption of non-specific proteins at the surface of implanted biomaterials and biosensors. Poly (ethylene glycol) (PEG) is a representative anti-fouling material. To improve anti-fouling effect of PEGs, focal point functionalized dendritic PEGs were synthesized using an iterative divergent method combining the living anionic ring-opening polymerization of ethylene glycol and chain end functionalization. Reaction was carried out in THF using a high vacuum line with an initiating system consisting of a cyclic acetal as an initiator and DPMK as electron transfer agents. Allyl bromide was introduced to polymeric chain ends for end functionality. All generations were characterized by 1H NMR spectroscopy and GPC.
