Application of Predatory Bacterial Strains to Environment Issues |

My talk will focus on the "pseudo-cannibals" of the microbe worlds, Bdellovibrio-and-like-organisms (BALOs). These remarkable bacteria prey upon other bacteria and are dependent upon them for their survival. This seminar will address some of the current research being performed world-wide and particularly within my lab as we apply and study the effects of BALOs within environmental issues, particularly biofilm control and bioremediation. |
