제목 | Screening of pharmaceutical co crystals by using crystallization |
초록 | Pharmaceutical co-crystal have been defined as multiple component crystal in which at least one component is molecular and a solid at room temperature (co-former) and a supramolecular synthon with a molecular or ionic API. A given APIs may form co-crystals with a variety of pharmaceutically acceptable and/or approved conformers and such co-crystals can exhibit enhanced solubility, dissolution, compressibility, stability, bioavailability, chemical and properties of APIs. The Acetylsalicylic acid: 4,4dipyridyl was chosen as a model system to study the solution cocrystallization pathways and kinetics in aqueous and organic solvent. Powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) were used for monitoring of the co-crystal formed. Co-crystal formation between ASA and 4,4dipyridyl has been studied utilizing the newly developed co-crystal screening method. |
