Synergistic inhibitory effect of concave hemisphere pattern and layer by layer deposition on capsular contracture of silicone implants |
초록 |
As breast augmentation is the largest part of plastic surgery in the world, the study of capsular contracture which is the most frequent side effect of silicone implants becomes important. Capsular contracture is caused by excessive fibrosis to the periphery of the implant. Surface roughness has been studied for controlling cellular behavior. In this study, concave hemisphere pattern of different sizes ranging from 38 μm to 100 μm was fabricated on PDMS surface to find out ideal roughness to reduce capsular contracture. Microparticles fabricated by SPG membrane technique were used to fabricate patterns of uniform size. Chemical coating was also conducted as chemical cue. Layer by layer deposition was used using natural polymer, poly-L-lyine and hyaluronic acid, as materials. Synergistic inhibitory effect of concave hemisphere pattern and LbL deposition was analyzed in vitro and in vivo and 100 μm hemisphere pattern with LbL deposition was the most effective. |
