In vitro drug release behaviors and permeation properties of glycosaminoglycan hydrogels system prepared by radiation technique |
초록 |
Natural polysaccharides such as hyaluronic acid (HA) and chondroitin sulfate (CS) have been extensively studied in medical applications since they can provide intrinsic biological activity when used as the basis for biomatierls. Glycosaminoglycans, including HA and CS, are aminosugar-containing polysaccharides in the extracellular matrix of all vertebrates. To design the artificial skin modelfor alternative tests to animal experiments, we synthesized hyaluronic acid and chodroitin sulfate derivatives with polymerizable residues with precise control over the substitution degree. The hyaluronic acid/chodroitin sulfate-based hydrogels were prepared by using a radiation technique. The enzymatic degradation kinetics, the drug release behaviors and drug permeation properties of the hydrogels were investigated to evaluate the feasibility for artificial skin substitutes. |
