N-doped CNT/Biomineral Core/Shell Nanowires via Biomimetic Mineralization |
초록 |
TiO2 is a wide band gap semiconductor extensively used in pigments, sensors, electrodes, photocatalysts, and so on. In particular, the photoexcitation of electron hole pairs in TiO2 may effectively sensitize or catalyze a light-induced redox process. Nevertheless, the currently available TiO2 photocatalysts generally suffer from a low surface area and a large band gap energy (3.2 eV), which significantly deteriorate the photocatalytic efficiency and effective range of a wavelength spectrum. Here we present a straightforward fabrication of highly functional CNT/TiO2 core/shell nanowires via biomimetic TiO2 mineralization, which can be readily nucleated from the N-doped sites at CNTs. |
