Synthesis of poly(ethylene oxide) -b- (PVI -co- PN-PMI) via RAFT radical polymerization technique using PEO-based RAFT agent |
초록 |
We successfully synthesized water-soluble poly(ethylene oxide -b- (1-vinylimidazole -co- N-phenyl maleimide)) exhibiting pH-responsive phase transition using poly(ethylene oxide)-based RAFT agent via RAFT radical polymerization technique. The PEO-based macroinitiator obtained chain-end functionalization of living poly(ethylene oxide) was first converted into the RAFT (reversible addition fragmentation chain transfer) agent containing the dithioester group. Using the RAFT agent and AIBN as an initiator, RAFT random copolymerization of 1-vinylimidazole and N-phenylmaleimide was successfully performed in DMF at 120℃ for 24h.
