제목 Analogues of fullerene derivatives and their applications for organic solar cells
초록 A bulk-heterojunction (BHJ) concept has been considered as a promising approach for maximizing the advantage of organic solar cells. This BHJ approach provides us with a great potential for low-cost manufacturing of organic solar modules, because the active layer can be simply prepared by mixing electron-donors and electron-acceptors. Recently the power conversion efficiency of polymer:fullerene solar cells has reached ~8%. Here we need to pay attention to the trend of increasing efforts for developing new conjugated polymers but the attempt for developing new class of fullerene derivatives for solar cell applications is relatively less active. So we tried to synthesize new fullerene derivatives. Very recently we have successfully carried out the separation of new type fullerenes and here report their chemical and physical characteristics. In particular, we discuss the performance of solar cells by using the new analogues of fullerene derivatives.
