Controlling gas permeation through materials is a key technological issue in gas separation and storage, protective coatings, and packaging. Water vapor barriers are considerably important in food packaging, sealants in lightemitting diodes, and biomedical implants. One challenge for advanced water barrier materials is simultaneously achieving high light transmittance, flexibility, and good water barrier property. Polymer/clay composites are well-studied water and oxygen vapor barrier materials, but their transparency, mechanical strength and water barrier property degrade with increasing clay loading. In this work, we have tried to improve of good water vapor barrier properties, high transparency, and flexibility by using various contents of aluminium-sol. The films consist of high performance organic/inorganic film, which provide high transparency, flexibility, and inhibit the permeation of water vapor. |
