The platinum group metals to date are widely used in many fields such as catalysts in various chemical processes, electrical and electronic industries, jewellery and corrosion resistant materials. The limited resource and the increasing demand for precious metals make the recovery of these noble metals a strategic topic that received a great deal of attention for the last decades. In this study, we developed cationic polymer coated polysulfone fiber (CPPF) for recovery of Pt(IV) in aqueous solutions. The sorption results revealed that the CPPF has good sorption and desorption properties for Pt(IV). |
