Synthesis and Caracterization of Novel Disc-shaped Molecule for Compensation Film |

Discotic liquid crystals (DLCs) are unique nanostructures with remarkable electronic and optoelectronic properties. Discotic liquid crystals exhibiting mesophases are used in many device applications as photoconductors, light emitting diodes. In this study, we present the novel disc-shaped molecule based on naphthalene and acryloyl derivatives. For compensation film we introduced naphthalene derivative into triphenylene core to form Nd phase and acryloyl derivative to form epoxy derivatives which can then be photopolymerized to yield crosslinked networks. |
