Microporous materials have diverse applications such as gas storage, separation, and catalysis. Recently, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have attracted much attention owing to their regular porosity and large surface areas. However, under practical application conditions MOFs suffer from chemical instability. In this work, we prepared chemically and mechanically stable, hypercross-linked microporous polymers based on adamantane. Surface areas and pore sizes of the polymers were determined by nitrogen adsorption/desorption isotherms and the effects of a cross-linker on them were investigated. Hydrogen and carbon dioxide uptakes of the polymers were measured. |
