Introduction of GTO (Greenhouse Gas to Olefin) Process as a Novel Alternative Olefin Production |
초록 |
In this presentation, we will introduce the novel olefin production process for the first time. GTO process is consecutive integrated three unit operations of greenhouse gas reforming, Fischer-Tropsch and olefin cracking for maximizing olefin production. It is expected that GTO process not only can reduce greenhouse gases but also produce olefins. The pilot scale GTO process shows more than 85% of olefin selectivity in light (C2~C4) hydrocarbons and 35% of light olefin selectivity in produced hydrocarbons with the capacity of 10 kg of olefins per day. It is noticed that 1 kg of CH4 and 2kg of CO2 can produce more than 0.5 kg of light olefins and C5+. Three different catalysts for reforming, FT and olefin cracking were tested in the pilot scale and characterized. |
