Enhancement of fill factor via increase of crystallinity in fullerene based small molecule organic photovoltaic cells using copper iodide as a templating layer |
초록 |
The crystallinity of donor:acceptor blend layer is important for effective charge extraction because it significantly influences the charge mobility in bulk heterojunction photovoltaic cells. We report that improvement of the crystallinity of C70 increases the fill factor in fullerene based small molecule organic photovoltaic cells. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns reveal that the formation of a (111) oriented FCC phase of C70 and the enhancement of the crystallinity of C70 grown on a CuI layer on hole extraction layer, resulting in the increased hole mobility from 8.32×10-6 cm2/Vs to 3.26×10-5 cm2/Vs and the fill factor from 0.51 to 0.57 to increase the power conversion efficiency from 5.5% to 6.2% with a short circuit current density (JSC) of 12.0 mA/cm2 and open circuit voltage (VOC) of 0.91 V under simulated AM 1.5G. |
