Recent studies show that thin crystal films prepared from lyotropic chromonic liquid crystals (LCLCs) have attractive anisotropic properties applicable to polarizer parts. In our previous study, we synthesized three different LCLCs which showed red, violet and blue color, respectively and fabricated anisotropic thin films thereof. Prepared anisotropic film however showed low absorbance in the range of 400~480 nm. Thus, we newly synthesized LCLC compound showing strong absorbance in 400~450 nm to compensate above problem. In this study, anisotropic film was prepared with four different LCLCs and its optical properties were discussed. |
