Barium titanate (BaTiO3) is widely used as a material in the electronic products such as sensors, and electro-optic devices. Nowadays, some researcher have been used BaTiO3 as a promoter with high dielectric constant inside insulating polymer for robot palm. However, when the size of BaTiO3 becomes nanoscale, the surface energy is increased and the nanoparticles agglomerate in the polymer matrix. In this study, shapes of nanoparticles and surface modification are researched to find optimal conditions for high dielectric and well dispersed nanoparticles composite film. Firstly, BaTiO3 was synthesized by hydrothermal method and sphere, rod-like, coral-like shapes are obtained. And after that, BaTiO3 was modified with polyvinylpyrrolidone to increase dispersibility in silicone elastomer matrix. XRD pattern confirmed that BaTiO3 was synthesized and the shapes and size were observed by FE-SEM and PSA. |
