Aggregation induced emission (AIE) fluorophore, tetraphenylethene (TPE) did not show an emission in the solution state but significant emissions when they aggregated. In the present study, we used a peptide as a receptor for heparin and synthesized a new peptide-based probe using a TPE fluorophore for the high solubility in aqueous solution, biological compatibility and potent binding affinity for heparin. The detection limit was calculated 55.4690pM in aqueous solution. Also, the probe formed nano-sized aggregates with heparin that showed resistence against heparinase. By using the dual activities of the peptide-based probe, we developed a new efficient way for the detection of the contaminated OSCS in heparin using heparin-digestive enzyme. |
