The biofouling is the undesirable accumulation of microorganisms, plants, and animals on wetted structures. To minimize drag resistance when the ship is in movement, many kinds of anti-fouling (AF) paints are being developed. Most of AF paints have a limited life span of a maximum of five years. In spite of these real conditions, a systematic and objective long-term performance method has not yet been introduced. In this study, we examined long-term performance evaluation, which has expended the testing period up to six months and based on the established Rotor tests. The frictional drag reduction effects were measured by comparing to the baseline AF or uncoated surface.
