제목 High-Performance Metal Atomic Catalysts for Climate Change Response: from Scientific Powder to Practical Monolith
초록 Climate change caused by greenhouse gases and air pollutants is one of the most urgent issues to be solved. Heterogeneous environmental catalyst technologies to reduce them have received much attention. Catalytic performance is varied depending on the geometric and electronic structures of the metal catalysts. So, many studies have been actively conducted to control the size, atomic arrangement, and oxidation state of the metal particles. However, many powder catalysts have failed to be commercialized due to the large gap between lab-scale researches and practical applications. Here, I introduce the metal atomic catalysts with 100% dispersion from scientific powder to practical monolith. The powder catalysts with controlled atomic structures exhibited superior performance. The monolith catalysts were also prepared using the powder catalysts, and they showed excellent performance without significant degradation. These metal atomic catalysts in monolith form can be easily adopted for the practical application of climate change response.
