TPU-keratin based Triboelectric tactile sensor for Robotic Skin |
초록 |
Keratin-elastin composition of human dermis has been mimicked and artificial skin for robotic applications has been developed by fabrication a composite film through melt mixing followed by hot-pressing of TPU and keratin. The TPU-Keratin (TPK) composite film showed tactile sensing performance (measured using oscilloscope) when the film was touched by human finger wearing gloves due to the triboelectrification. This effect can be usually found in the nature, which results from the development of surface charge during friction of two materials, such as plastic comb and hair. In this case TPK shows lower response than that of only TPU, which well corroborating our observation of decreasing coefficient of friction value for TPK. The response showed higher value when pressed or stretched, may be due to the piezo-electric effect of the keratin. Thus, TPK based artificial skin can be used as flexibile tactile as well as future piezo-electric energy harvester. |
