A Novel Gel from the Nucleophilic Addition Reaction of C60 |
| 초록 |
Nucleophilic addition reactions of C60 with carbon nucleophiles and amines have provided practical routes for the preparation of many C60 derivatives. In contrast, the nucleophilic addition of anionic oxygen as nucleophilic attacking species such as hydroxyl and RCOO- is difficult. Hence, a challenging work remains the reaction of fullerenes with anionic oxygen species and specifically to find an easy, mild and environmentally friendly path for the preparation of oxygen-containing fullerene derivatives. Here we report the direct addition reaction of the acetate anion to [60]fullerene that yielded a highly water-swelling gel. The characteristics of the novel gel and its remarkable properties are investigated in this study. |
