Porous carbons have gained particular interest because of their distinct porous structure, which possesses large pore volume, high specific surface area, and tunable pore-size distribution. To improve CO2 capture performances of activated carbon, we have prepared samples with different ratios of NaOH through chemically activation. The morphological properties were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The textural properties were investigated by N2/77 K adsorption-desorption isotherms using Bruanauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) equation. CO2 capture performances were evaluated at 298 K and 1 bar. From the results, it was confirmed that the CO2 adsorption capacity increased with increasing the amount of NaOH. |
