Numerical Investigation on the Transport in a Dual-Catalyst Layers PEMFC using a Microstructure Reconstruction Technique. |
초록 |
Novel electrode structure based on dual-layer cathode catalyst layer(CL) is reported to elevate proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) cathode performance. In this study, the microstructure of a dual-layer cathode CL sample is characterized using focused ion beam(FIB)- scanning electron microscope(SEM). The effective transport properties are then derived from reconstructed structures. By incorporating the thus obtained effective transport properties, numerical model in a PEMFC is developed to predict the polarization curve. This resolving of using state-of-the-art FIB/SEM nano-tomography technique can be confidently used in pore-scale fuel cell modeling studies to maximize the computation efficiency and improve the accuracy of model predictions regrading the structure-performance relationship. |
