Water loss from PEMFC leads to a drop of proton conductivity with a consequent decrease of fuel cell efficiency. Therefore, PEMFC requires external humidification devices to maintain the membrane humid. The external humidification, however, has some disadvantages such as volume, portability and cost. Thus, it needs to remove the external humidifier device from common PEMFC design. In this study, Nafion/Pt-TiO2/GO composite membranes with various Pt-TiO2/GO contents were prepared. As-prepared nano-particle, Pt-TiO2, and GO were identified by TEM, BET, XRD, and XPS. Various membrane electrode assemblies were fabricated with various Nafion/Pt-TiO2/GO composite membranes, and commercial Pt/C as electrochemical catalyst. The Pt-loadings for anode and cathode are 0.2mg/cm2 and 0.3mg/cm2, respectively. The cell test was conducted using the composite membrane under various humidity conditions and discussed. |
