Electrochemical properties of Pt-BCN-Graphene intercalated with CB for cathode in polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell |

Boron-nitrogen co-doped graphene (BCN-Graphene) is synthesized by using dicyandiamide as the nitrogen precursor, boric acid as the boron precursor, and graphene oxide (GO). GO is synthesized by a modified Hummer's method. Pt nanoparticles are deposited on BCN-Graphene by using microwave-assisted polyol method. Electrochemical and physical properties of Pt-BCN-Graphene are investigated by XRD, TG/DTA, FT-IR, CV and TEM. The membrane electrode assembly (MEA) is fabricated with commercial Pt/C as an anode catalyst, and Pt-BCN-Graphene/carbon black (CB) as a cathode catalyst. Finally, the cell test is conducted for the MEAs fabricated using cathode with different ratio of Pt-BCN-Graphene to CB. |
