Preparation of porous poly(ε-caprolactone) scaffold by gas foaming/salt leaching process and in vitro/vitro degradation behavior |
초록 |
In tissue engineering, high porosity scaffolds with interconnected pores are desired to minimize the amount of implanted polymer and to increase the specific surface area for cell attachment and tissue in growth. This facilitates uniform distribution of cells and allows the transport of nutrients and cellular waste products. Biodegradable polymeric scaffolds for tissue engineering were fabricated by a gas foaming/salt leaching method using a combination of two effervescent salts, ammonium bicarbonate and citric acid. Poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) gel-like paste was first prepared by precipitating PCL dissolved in CHCl3 into ethanol. The polymer gel paste was mixed with the sieved particles (200-300㎛) of ammonium bicarbonate, molded and then immersed in an citric acid aqueous solution to generate porous scaffolds. In vitro/vivo degradation studies of scaffolds was investigated as a function of radiation dose. |
