As the rapid development of energy storage devices, Zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs) have become one of the prospective energy storage system with non-toxic, eco-friendly, and cost effective properties of aqueous system. However, ZIBs still face difficulty of practical application due to its stability issue of dendrite formation of Zn metal. So replacing Zn metal anode as Zn hosted anode is one candidate for improving Zn metal anode’s stability, occurred by dendrite and byproduct formation during cycling. In this work, an electrodeposited MXene@Zn electrode was designed as ZIB anode, which can offer high conductivity and dendrite-free behavior. The MXene@Zn anode shows higher stability than bare Zn metal, demonstrated by chronopotentiometry. Furthermore, not only general full cell device with a-MnO2 cathode, but also the patterned electrode configuration was successfully adapted. This work provides one favorable way to develop the stable and practical next generation energy storage device. |
