The pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) were prepared based on acrylic copolymers which were synthesized by solution polymerization of 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, and acrylic acid with AIBN as an initiator. The acrylic copolymer was further modified with glycidyl methacrylate which introduced the unsaturated groups available for ultraviolet curing. The vinyl modified carbon nanotubes which were used as crosslinking agent were prepared by reacting with 2-chloroethyl isocyanate. The thermal stabilities of ultraviolet-cured PSAs were measured by thermogravimetric analyzer to investigate the effects of the content of vinyl modified carbon nanotubes. The adhesive characteristics of ultraviolet-cured PSAs containing vinyl modified carbon nanotubes were investigated in terms of peel strength, cohesiveness, and probe tack. |
