Characterization of the modified active layer for high efficiency organic photovoltaic devices |

Organic photovoltaics (OPVs) can be processed from solution process and offers a very important technological potential for low-cost fabrication of lager-area solar cells. The most widely used configuration of organic solar cells is the so called bulk-heterojunction device, in which the active layer consists of a blend of electron-donating material, for example, p-type conjugated polymer, and an electron-accepting material (n-type) such as [6,6] phenyl C61-methyl acid ester (PCBM). In this study, our interest focus on to fabricate photovoltaic device with blend of poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and PCBM, which was used as a photo-active electrode by mixing silver nanowire. In preliminary experimental indicated an improvement in photovoltaic properties with that modified active layer contained devices. |
