Abstract: Here we propose a general approach for preparation of graphene-AESO polymer composite. By taking advantage of the unique amphiphilic structure of graphene oxide (GOSs), we developed a new polymer blend of acrylated epoxidized soybean oil (AESO) and graphene oxide via in situ polymerization. The composites were characterized by FTIR, 1H-NMR and Raman spectroscopy and XRD,SEM,TGA and DSC. This composite exhibits a percolation threshold of ~0.3 volume percent for room temperature electrical conductivity. Which is the lowest value of the percolation threshold than reported for other polymer carbon composites excepting for that of carbon nanotubes composites. Such low percolation value is sufficient for many electrical applications. |
