제목 Effect of the Inclusion of Surface-Modified Gold Nanoparticles in Photoanodes on the Efficiency of DSSCs
초록 Gold nanoparticles (GNPs) with unique optical properties such as localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) have previously been applied to working electrodes of DSSCs. In present study, 50 nm diameter of spherical GNPs were employed in the TiO2 working electrodes to enhance the light harvesting effect. Since the direct contacts between TiO2 NPs and metal NPs make photocurrent and device efficiency lower, the surface modification of GNPs with SiO2 was necessary. 2,2',7,7'-tetrakis-(N,N-di-p-methoxyphenylamine)-9,9'-spirobifluorene (spiro-OMeTAD) as a hole-transporting material and PEG polymer electrolytes were employed in this study. With this system, We found that the photocurrent as well as the power conversion efficiency of DSSCs incorporating GNPs within the photoanode enhanced even in a small addition of GNPs.
