Electrochemical capacitance of activated carbons/polypyrrole composite on manganese dioxide |

In this work, activated carbon/tubular polypyrrole composites (ACPPy) synthesized with various weight ratio of manganese dioxide. The influence of the ACPPy/manganese dioxide content on the electrochemical properties and changes in pore structure were also examined. The morphology of composite were observed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The specific surface area of the composites were calculate from N2 77K adsorption/desorption isotherms by the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) equation. The electrochemical performance of the prepared composites was characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and galvanostatic charge/discharge (GCD) measurements using an Ivium Stat electrochemical workstation (Ivium Technologies). The results prove that the ACPPy/manganese dioxide ratio affects the electrochemical performance of supercapacitors. |
