Recently, many nanomaterials have been considered new candidates as new functional materials. We have conducted research on modifying the surface of these nano-structured materials using various metal nanoparticle-embedded systems. These organic-inorganic hybrid materials reveal multiplexed properties that may be beneficial from both systems. However, it is still challenging to control of the surface properties of these materials, especially for bioengineering. Excellent biocompatibility, no cytotoxicity, is one of the highly required properties of the materials for biological uses. We obtained some excellent biocompatible, stealthy coating from our study. Some metal nanoparticle-hybrid materials will be intensively discussed for their cytotoxicities. |
