제목 Hydrophobically-modified PVDF based polymers for protein resistance
초록 Because the nonspecific protein adsorption can make a deterimental effect to be a cause for the material failure, there is significant interest to antifouling materials in the fields of bio-medical, analytical devices and marine biofouling. From now, some materials like PEG based polymer, zwitterionic molecules and amphiphilic material have been found to exert protein antifouling property. However, most of these materials are not suitable for long-term contact with aqueous environment because most of them are hydrophilic that are apt to degenerate in aquatic condition. In this presentation, we synthesized the various PVDF-based polymers having additional fluorinated groups to strengthen the hydrophobic function. Then antifouling properties were estimated by protein absorption test on the polymer film and correlated with the surface characterization results.
