제목 Vapor Phase Oxidative Carbonylation of Methanol to Dimethyl Carbonate
초록 Dimethyl carbonate has attracted increasing attention recently as one of the important environmentally benign fine chemicals. Dimethyl carbonate can be used as a non-toxic feedstock instead of phosgene in many fields. In this work, DMC synthesis reaction by oxidative carbonylation of methanol has been studied using vapor phase flow reaction system in the presence of various Cu-based catalysts. The effects of fundamental various reaction conditions were intensively evaluated in terms of methanol conversion and dimethyl carbonate selectivity. Also, the analyses by XRD, SEM, CO-TPD, XPS, TOF-SIMS and TG/DSC were conducted in order to characterize the employed catalysts.
