제목 Preparation and Characterization of Nano-crystalline Particle Based Polymer LED’s
초록 Nano-crystalline ZnS:Mn and its derivatives are promising as a novel luminescent center because of its high quantum efficiency at room temperature. For instance, ZnS:Mn nano-crystal has possibility to enhance reliability of organic electroluminescent (EL) devices due to the stability which has been established already in commercial used as inorganic EL. It may be expected that the nano-particles provide such performance in organic host material, where ligands of metal ion do not change in contrast to small or large molecular emitters as conventional organic EL. A polymer light-emitting diodes (LED’s) doped with ZnS based nano-crystalline particles has been prepared.
In this work, four different kinds of ZnS based nano-crystalline particles were newly synthesized and characterized; ZnS:Mn, ZnS:Cu, Cl, ZnS:Ag,Cl, ZnS:Mn(PVK). We have observed photoluminescent and electroluminescent emission from the nano-crystalline particles doped poly(acrylic acid) or poly(vinyl carbazole) polymer LED’s for the nano-crystals. The effect of the ligands of different metal ions on the performance of the polymer LED’s was discussed.
