The performances of cobalt-based Fischer-Tropsch(FT) Catalyst were investigated using packed-bed channel reactor. With the high probability of heat generated from FT reaction on channel reactor, the rate of methane formation and deactivation was found to be significantly reduced by the elimination of hot-spot in catalyst-bed. The reaction variables such a temperature and space velocity were further studied to verify of better performance packed-bed channel reactor than fixed-bed reactor. The cobalt-based catalysts were characterized using XRD, BET, scanning electron microcopy (SEM), transmission electron microcopy (TEM), and H2 chemisorption. |
