PP/EVOH blends according to the novel compatibilizer content and EVOHs with various ethylene one |
초록 |
We prepared novel compatibilizer using a monomer with carboxylic acid grafted onto polypropylene (PP) by melt mixing system to improve the dispersion effects that occur upon blending PP and ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH). The initiator for the compatibilizer was 2,5-dimethyl-2,5-di(tert-butyl peroxy)-hexane (Luperox 101) and the reaction conditions such as temperature, initiator content, and monomer content were 200 oC, 1 phr, and 10 wt%, respectively. The PP/EVOH blends were mixed according to the compatibilizer content and various ethylene one of the EVOH. The structure of the compatibilizer was determined by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). Additionally, we investigated the morphologies and thermal analysis of the PP/EVOH blends. |
