제목 Dynamics of polymer thin films on graphene oxide sheets
초록 Studies on dynamics of carbon-based nanomaterials can provide to enhancement of polymer’s physical properties. In this work, we investigated the mobility of polymer melts near graphene oxide (GO) surfaces from diffusion and dewetting dynamics. First, we used polymer thin films sandwiched between GO monolayers as a model composite system on diffusion. Polymer mobility of confined systems was analyzed a neutron reflectivity (NR) technique. Consequently, in case of diffusion, when the film is thin, diffusion coefficient decreases for polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) thin films sandwiched between GO sheets. This is due to strongly attractive interaction between the GO and PMMA. In addition dewetting dynamics polymer thin films on GO monolayer posited the PMMA/Polystyrene (PS) interface has been studied. Dewetting prevented by GO from the NR results. The interfacial width of the PS and PMMA layers expanded by adding the GO monolayers at the interface.
