The morphology of electrospun and carbonized nanofibers was investigated in relation with rheological properties in the electrospinning process of PAN/CA blend solution in DMF. Over the range of temperature 30 to 60 °C, the dynamic viscosity of the polar that the solubility of the polymers to the solvent reduce with increasing temperature. The blend solution whose blend ratio is 5/5 has the highest dynamic viscosity value. These phenomena could be explained from the equivalence ratio of nitrile group of PAN to hydroxyl group of CA. Unlike mose of the previous results by others, the average diameter of electrospun fibers was decreased with increasing dynamic viscosity. Further, as electrospinning temperature is increased, the morphological properties of fiber surface and density became rougher. The specific surface area of carbon nanofibers was increased with increasing electrospinning temperature and CA content. |
