제목 In vitro and in vivo biocompatibility of cross-linked hydrogels by γ-ray irradiation technique
초록 In this work, a series of hydrogels, PVA, PVP, blendmer of PVA and PVP (PVA/PVP), blendmer of PVA/PVP and chitosan (PVA/PVP/chitosan), blendmer of PVA/PVP and gelatin (PVA/PVP/gelatin), and blendmer of PVA/PVP and alginate (PVA/PVP/alginate) were prepared by Co gamma-ray irradiation. The biocompatibility of these hydrogels was evaluated (i) in vitro in cultures of mouse fibroblasts, and (ii) in vivo by subcutaneous implantation studies in rats. The cytotoxicity of these hydrogels was compared by measuring cell survival with the tetrazolium salt reduction (MTT) assay after incubations of fibroblasts for 48 hours in the presence of extracts of hydrogels.
