제목 Fast microwave-assisted green synthesis of locust bean gum grafted diethylamino ethyl methacrylate: An efficient metal ion removal
초록 Bioadsorption is emerging as a potential alternative to conventional technologies for the adsorption of metal ions from aqueous solutions. In the present project, graft polymerization was employed to synthesis a novel adsorbent using diethylamino ethyl methacrylate (DEAEMA) and locust bean gum (LBG) for metal ion removal from aqueous solution. The LBG was rapidly grafted with diethylamino ethyl methacrylate (DEAEMA) under microwave heating. The results demonstrate diethylamino ethyl methacrylate grafted locust bean gum (mwLBG-g-DEAEMA) absorbent had the universality for removal of metal ion through the chemical adsorption mechanism. This work will encourage researchers to focus on this facile green technique for the synthesis of adsorbent with enhanced adsorption and mechanical properties.
