제목 Preparation of Phosphonated Low-Molecular-Weight Chitosan Derivative as Coating Material to Improve Cell Adhesion on Titanium Surface
초록  Phosphonated low-molecular-weight chitosan (P-LMC) was prepared for improving cell adhesion on titanium surfaces. P-LMC was prepared by introducing a phosphonate group from 4-phosphonobutyric acid to low-molecular-weight chitosan. Introduction of the phosphonate group was confirmed by 31P-NMR. Characterization of titanium surfaces treated with P-LMC was by XPS and water contact angle. Prepared P-LMC should have no toxicity for medical applications. Cytotoxicity was tested in WST-8 assays using the C2C12 cell line. Improvements in cell adhesion on treated titanium surfaces were observed by microscopy and the number of attached cells was counted using a hemocytometer. Titanium surfaces with P-LMC had positive effects on cell adhesion. In conclusion, it is considered that P-LMC could be applied as titanium coating material.
