This work, we suggested anoptimal sorting and recycling strategy of waste plastics considering economicfeasibility for environmental preservation. To derive the optimal sorting andrecycling strategy of plastic waste, a novel optimization model is developed andit determined the overall profit calculated by subtracting the profit ofrecycling plastic from the total annualized cost. Then the proposedoptimization model is used to identify the optimal sorting and recyclingstrategy of plastic waste in mixed-integer programming that maximize theoverall profit. As a results, in the derived optimal sorting and recyclingstrategy, the HDPE is recycled to produce downgrade plastic, LDPE, PP and PS arerecycled as pyrolysis oil and the PET is recycled to produce refuse plasticfuel. |
