Effects of Pulsed UV Light on Photo-alignment |

Pulsed UV lamps compared with the conventional arc discharge lamps are not harmful to the human and are irradiated momentary and strong pulsed UV. The advantages of the lamp is a short photo-process time, excellent surface penetration, and not have thermal deformation under film process. In this study, we studied the effect of the pulsed UV on the photo-alignment process and found that the processes are very much dependent on the exposure time, exposure distance, voltage and flash frequency of the lamps. As a result, we found the optimum conditions of the photo-alignment process using the pulsed UV lamp. |
