Surface modification of PBT sheets using radiation grafting technique for improvement of blood compatibility |
초록 |
To improve surface blood compatibility on poly(butylene terephthalate) (PBT) sheets for hemodialysis, 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) was grafted on the PBT sheet by simultaneously radiation grafting technique. The PBT sheets were immersed in HEMA aqueous solution of 1-10 v/v% containing iron chloride (FeCl3) as an inhibitor. The mixed solution was then irradiated with gamma-ray at 1-10 kGy (dose rate: 10 kGy/hr) generated form a 60Co source. After irradiation, the sheets were washed with de-ionized water and dried in vacuum oven. We confirmed its properties through DOG (degree of grafting), SEM and FT-IR. The cytotoxicity of the grafted PBT sheets was examined using L929 cells and a cell count kit-8. |
