Recently, a technology that enables high-performance data optical communication through the development of high-capacity and high-speed data transmission technology using optical communication is showing interest. At this time, electro-optic materials using the NLO phenomenon, which is a phenomenon when the intensity of incident light becomes very large the refractive index change of light passing through the material occurs non-linearly, has been developed. To increase electro-optic effect of NLO chromophore, we synthesized chromophore with TCF (tricyanofuran) structure as a acceptor. Also, we synthesized electro-optic polymer by introducing NLO chromophore into a high heat resistant polymer to increase the thermal stability. To evaluate the thermal stability and electro-optic effect of EO materials, the structure was characterized by 1H NMR and the thermal properties were evaluated using TGA. In this presentation, EO(electro-optic) performance of polymer also will be discussed. |
